Lightweight Camping Chair by Roraima (Product Review)

This is a lightweight camping chair from #roraima. It comes with a carry bag that has a strap on it so it's easy to carry. The weight in its bag is 5.5 pounds. It does sit rather low to the ground. Even though it's lightweight it's still pretty comfortable; it is stronger than I expected for a lightweight chair. I can sit easily, as can my teenagers. The weight limit is listed at 260 pounds but I'm not sure I'd risk that much.

There is an additional strap included that's bright orange. I'm not quite sure what the purpose is in regards to the #campingchair, but I think one possibility is to attach it to a pack. It just pops open and closed again. There's no effort required whatsoever. It's pretty handy and easy to pop it over your shoulder and you're all set. Take it camping, your kid's sporting events, or simply bring it out and use it when you have more guests than chairs.

The #outdoorchair has two pouches: one hangs off the front and another that hangs off the other side. It is handy to hold a book, notebook, etc. I like it for holding my mandatory crochet project I always work on at camp sites!

Cat Tent by Roraima (Product Review)

Last week I showed you the dog tent from #Roraima and now I am going to show you the one for cats!

This cat habitat or #catplaytent is pretty spacious at 75" x 69" x 36". It is made out of a highly breathable mesh. The tent does come with a rain fly that hooks on with an s-hook & loop, but it only covers a small bit. Honestly, I don't think the rain fly would, well, fly if you had this outside; chances are the rain would just come in through the rest of the mesh! So personally I would just use this indoors as a play area, maybe attach some tunnels to one or both of the circular openings. Then the cats can come and go as they please.

You could use this outside if it was on a patio, or if you needed to take your cats with you somewhere and you need them in a safe place; they wouldn't take off like some of them tend to do.

It comes with metal tent stakes if you want to use it outside. A length of material is included so you can tie it up as tightly as possible to get it back in the included carry bag. It is much bulkier than the dog tent and even with tightly tying the material around it, it still took two of us to get it back into the bag and zip it.

To open the tent, push the legs inward and downward and they will collapse. There will still be legs that need to be done so you need to pull them outward at the joint and then the legs will fold in toward the center of the tent. Then you can just wrap the mesh around in one direction (less bulky this way) and tie the strip of material around it.

The #cattent seems made very well. The only possibly negative thing I could say is the rain fly just seems ineffective or unnecessary. If you have cats who like to play indoors then I think they would really enjoy this...inside.

Dog Tent by Roraima (Product Review)

This is an instant pop-up dog tent by #Roraima. We opened the bag and UP it went, easy peasy. The size is a generous 42"X42"X31". My German Shepherd, miniature Schnauzer, and runt Maltese can all fit inside, but I'd only put any two of the three in it so there's plenty of room to move. It is great to use if you're out camping and the dogs need a safe place to go. You could also use it while at a picnic, or in a vehicle to prevent unsafe roaming.

It's made of Oxford canvas, feeling just like our family tent. It also comes with a detachable rain fly and has a waterproof bottom. Tent stakes are included, along with a carry bag.

Collapsing it takes a little effort. You have to push the main tent poles a bit inward and downward. Then hold the underside of the circular top of the tent and push up on it. Collapse the tent down. A tie came with it (appearing to be a cut of the carrying bag material, kind of a cool way to create less waste)  to go around the collapsed tent, and then toss the #dogtent in the bag and you're all set!

Window breaker-seatbelt cutter by Rohomii's (Product Review)

I want to show you a great set of two window breakers with seat belt cutters, from Rohomii.

I have purchased window breakers before for both myself and for my sister. My two teenagers are now learning to drive and they share the family car. While I already have one of these in that vehicle, I needed one for the truck I bought. You never know if you will witness an accident and have to rescue someone by breaking a window, or rescue an infant from a locked, hot car. My spouse and I have done rescues many times, which is why I am a big believer in these.

Each window breaker comes set in its own base, which can be mounted in a vehicle if you wish. (If you aren't sure exactly how to mount it, please play it safe and have it done professionally.)

To remove from the base, just grasp the top of the breaker and pull outward. Both sides of the top have metal points, so you can use it as quickly as possible. Toward the bottom of the handle is a seat belt cutter, in case someone is trapped in a vehicle with a damaged belt release. This is a fairly common occurrence in serious accidents.

I think getting these in a two-pack is a smart idea. Since I only need one of these right now, I am giving away the other to a friend's teen driver. I have known this kid for a decade and her safety is as important to me as that of my own kids.

Word to the wise: carefully consider where to place this in your vehicle. If you typically drive without passengers, the glove compartment may not be a good spot as you might not be able to reach it. A latching center console is better. This would allow passengers the capability of retrieval, in case the driver is incapacitated. Also be sure it is secure so it won't become a projectile during a collision.

To quickly break a car's side windows, hit near the edges; the centers are much harder to break. The front or rear windshield can be hard to break due to their design.

Yoga Mat Non-Slip Towel by Youphoria (Product Review)

If you do yoga or any outdoor activity that makes you sweaty, this yoga mat towel by Youphoria (I love that name!) is for you. As I talked about in my YouTube video review, microfiber towels are fantastic for taking along camping. When you have limited space in your pack, a microfiber towel is ideal.

This towel however is different than others I have, thanks to its awesome size of 24" x 72". It would surely be great for you yoga folks out there, as it makes your yoga mat non-slip. Who wants to slip on their sweat? Using a yoga mat towel also keeps your mat more hygienic.

Not surprisingly, I use this huge towel when I camp. We go on long camping trips, and this microfiber towel is awesome at drying dishes, as it absorbs a whopping 7 times its weight in liquids. It dries wonderfully fast, so if you want to head for the solar shower before crawling into your sleeping bag for the night, your towel will be dry and ready for you.

This Survival Hax Self-Inflating Sleeping Pad is really handy if you do a lot of outdoor activities, like we do. Living in the desert, we do not exactly have grass-covered soil making for a gentle sleep. Instead, we have rock-hard calichi that does actually feel like sleeping on rocks. Even though we love our sleeping bags, we will take any additional assistance we can get to make our outdoor sleep more comfortable.

The pad comes in a storage bag that closes with a drawstring. It also has an elastic strap to put around the bag to keep it deflated. You inflate the pad by turning the small knob counter-clockwise (follow the "righty tight-y, lefty loose-y" rule). Admittedly, at first I did not think it was inflating. I followed the directions though and inflated-deflated it several times since it was brand new. Then I opened the knob and rolled up the pad, and was surprised by how much air came out. This showed me it had indeed inflated.

I went ahead and inflated it at this point. I used it off and on for a couple weeks. It is a nice small size while in the bag, small enough to put in or under a pack. It weighs roughly two pounds. I saw someone complain about the #sleepingpad being narrow, but to me that isn't an issue. After all, it's going under a sleeping bag, which you can't exactly roll around and spread out in like you can in bed. The pad has a good length at 70.8” x 19.6”. The exterior is a type of coated PVC.

If you are looking to make your overnight outings or #camping a bit more comfortable, check out this pad. 10,000 mAh portable charger battery pack by Wetrendy (Product Review)

This is a great little 10,000 mAh portable charger by Wetrendy. The Lithium Polymer battery is lightweight and has 2 inputs and 2 outputs. It also comes with a mini-USB cable. It can be used with both Android and iPhone, which is great as we have two of each in our home since our kids are on a different plan than ours. I like being able to charge two items at the same time.

The charger is white and has a large LED that displays the . The brightness makes it incredibly easy to see (even from a distance). The red display tells you at all times how much power is left in the charger, which is a terrific feature. I have three other battery packs and this is the only one that does this. I admit I'm loving being able to just glance over to see how much is left in it.

The Wetrendy charger, being 10,000 mAh, is handy for topping off a couple of my family's cell phones or my tablet to completion when it is running low.

We frequently go camping a week at a time and use solar or USB-powered lanterns and such, so portable chargers are an awesome and essential part of our kit. We just recharge them with our tri-fold solar panel.
